If you want to feel good again, we can work together to explore your inner healing power. Maia Rose facilitates a process called Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy combining her intuitive ability with your body's natural healing capacity. In each session you explore your body's healing power by settling into stillness, finding your way through trauma, and connect to the light of your true self.
You may wonder how Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy works. The short answer is it primarily impacts the nervous system. Since our nervous systems flows through all parts of our body, we can reap many benefits which address a variety of chronic and acute health concerns. These can include:
The treatments can be and often are deeply relaxing. They can also stir up uncomfortable sensations, memories, unusual images, and feelings. It is possible to feel worse initially, and then often feel better in a few days. This is the body's way of releasing the stress. Each session will continue to work and continue to heal for two or three days or even longer afterwards.
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy is based on the findings of Dr. Sutherland, an English osteopath practicing in the early 1900's. In his work with his patients, he noticed that an individual's skull moved in a subtle inhalation and exhalation rhythm. On further observation, he discovered this rhythmic movement of opening and closing flowed through the whole body. Sutherland realized that these rhythms are generated by an Intelligent organizing principle of body and mind which he referred to as the Breathe of Life 1.
Dr. Sutherland's work was carried on by other practitioners and eventually Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy evolved. This practice is based on the premise that deep within the body is an energy flow centered within the human nervous system. Practitioners learn to enter a state of presence oriented to the innate healing capacity of each client. They then become sensitive to the rhythmic flow centered around the brain and spinal cord and moving throughout the client's whole body. The therapist becomes aware of where there is resistance to this rhythmic flow. This indicates an area of treatment which can change throughout the session.
